How to Connect Your Organization’s Platform to Stripe

Before you can utilize Pearl’s Revenue features, you will need to connect your platform to a Stripe account. This article will guide you through how to create and/or connect a new or existing Stripe account and collect revenue from your customers.

Create and Connect a New Stripe Account

If you need to create a new Stripe account to manage payments using the Revenue feature on Pearl, follow the steps below.

  1. From your Admin or Admin+Instructor dashboard, navigate to the Revenue Page using the left navigation bar. 
  2. If you have not yet connected a Stripe account to your tutoring platform, you will see the “Setup” prompt 
  3. Click the “Connect to Stripe” button to begin setup.
  4. You will be redirected to Stripe’s website to create a new Stripe account 
  5. Once you have been redirected, you will be prompted to enter your email

  6. Then Stripe will ask you to create a password for your new account
  7. Complete the proceeding steps to set up and verify your new account. Note: You will need your bank account and business information.
  8. After verifying your account details, click “Connect”
  9. You should now be redirected back to your Organization’s account on Pearl. Stripe should now be connected to your account and you should have access to the Revenue features.Stripe will create a new account for you and ask you to create your password

 

Connect an existing Stripe account

If you already have a Stripe account and want to connect your existing account to Pearl to use the Revenue feature, follow the steps below.

  1. From your Admin or Admin+Instructor dashboard, navigate to the Revenue Page using the left navigation bar. 
  2. If you have not yet connected a Stripe account to your tutoring platform, you will see the “Setup” prompt 
  3. Click the “Connect to Stripe” button to begin setup.
  4. You will be redirected to Stripe’s website to connect your existing Stripe account 
  5. Enter the email address that you have associated with your Stripe account.
  6. Based on the email address you provide, Stripe will locate your existing account
  7. After locating your account, Stripe will ask you to enter your password
  8. Select your account to confirm the account you’d like to connect
  9. Click “Connect”
  10. When you click “Connect” you will be redirected back to your Organization’s account on Pearl. Stripe should now be connected to your account and you should have access to the Revenue features.

Important Note: Stripe is a third party platform which supports the Storefront and Revenue features on Pearl. As such, transactions are facilitated by Stripe and you should contact Stripe for any Stripe related issues. Please refer to Stripe’s resources.
